Chetan Thaker is a VFX Director / Supervisor, Social Activist and Writer.

Professional Life:

His first job was adding visual effects to short films at ZIMA (A division of Zee Television Network, India) in 2006 and 6 months later, he headed to SkyWork Studios in Gujarat to work as a compositing artist on motion picture “Blood: A Butcher’s Tale“; along with which he worked on a trial episode of image based character animation TV series “Wonder Pets“.

Captivated by horror and thrill, Chetan left Sky Works Studios in 2007 and started working as a freelance compositing artist in the United Kingdom. Since then, he has worked on feature films, short films, music videos and game trailers.

Later in 2008 he joined Krazy Motion Animation Pvt. Ltd. on contract basis to work over 2 game promos as a Motion Graphics Designer and project lead for “Toon Style Live Action” pilot project. While working at Krazy Motion he attended a seminar on Stop Motion Animation as a Guest Lecturer and addressed the crowd of 300 people. Continuing the Visual Effects work, Chetan joined Tekhnix Studios (a division of Delta House) in 2009, where he worked on more than 3 commercial projects as a VFX Lead and worked as a Visual Effects / Motion Graphics lecturer.

In January 2010 he established Motion Design Central – a leading production and post production global network, registered as a private limited company in Wrexham, United Kingdom and having affiliate work offices in Australia, Canada and India. Where he lead the team of 200 employees working on TVCs, visual effects for feature films, music videos, 360 degree virtual tours, dynamic websites, graphic designing and more.

His visual effects and animation work has been widely recognized and has been featured at:

After working hard to achieve goals into the visual effects industry; he found that the meaning of life is not about making money or fame, but how you can help others and make lives better. With the spirit of helping others, he founded The Blue Bird Foundation in November 2010 with his mates: Karansinh Parmar, Narendra Singh, Ankit Mistry and Nimesh Garashiya.

The Blue Bird Foundation came in existence as an NGO (Public Trust) in Vadodara city of Gujarat, India on 11th may 2011 under the Bombay Public Trust Act 1950. The Blue Bird Foundation is working for the betterment of the needy people, towards creating  awareness of social causes among lives and it provides media / film related services to other NGOs / Charitable Trusts on the principal of Gift Economy and do not charge NGOs / Charitable Trusts for the services.

The Blue Bird Foundation also produces Ad Films / Short Films based upon number of social causes to create Mass Awareness, which are published / distributed among TV Channels, Movie Theaters and websites. By 1st of September 2011, Chetan left his commercial work at Motion Design Central and started working full time for The Blue Bird Foundation.

In October 2011, he was asked to join Balaji Entertainments / BLive Group Mumbai on permanent basis, where he accepted the work for the period of 2 months. At Balaji Entertainments / BLive Group he worked on Visual Effects for Music Videos and Facebook Fan Page Design & Administration and worked with Farhan Saeed, Gajendra Verma, Kumaar and more. At the beginning of 2012, he came back to Vadodara city and started more community engagement projects in The Blue Bird Foundation.
